Bailey’s American Grille Places Fourth Among 58 Restaurants in Houston Rodeo Best Bites Competition

Bailey’s American Grille was recently announced the Fourth Place Winner in this year’s Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup and Best Bites Competition with their signature dish, Shiner Bock-Braised Bison Short Rib. The competition, held on February 18, 2008 at Reliant Astrodome, is part of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ and featured tastings of award-winning wines and signature dishes from some of the Houston area’s top chefs.
Approximately 3,500 wine and food enthusiasts attended the event that featured 58 of the some of the best restaurants in Houston presenting their best dishes. Attendees were asked to vote for their “Best Bite” among such restaurants as Brennan’s of Houston, Fleming’s Steakhouse, Gravitas Restaurant, The Oceanaire Seafood Room and the Rainbow Lodge, just to name a few. Bailey’s was voted fourth among the 58 restaurants, with Masraff’s, Demeris and Killen’s Steakhouse and Grille taking first, second and third, respectively.

“Being our first year in the Best Bites competition, it was such an honor to be voted among the best in Houston,” said Brad Bailey, owner of Bailey’s American Grille. “Executive Chef Beau Leacroy created a delicious dish from top to bottom, and we knew we had the presentation to win over a lot of people.”
The Rodeo Uncorked! And Best Bites Competition also featured the announcement of the 2008 International Wine Competition Champions. Over 600 wineries submitted more than 1,900 entries that were judged in November, with the event serving as the reveal ceremony of the winners.
Bailey’s American Grille is a unique neighborhood eatery that offers delicious food, the finest wine and outstanding service in a chic, comfortable atmosphere. Located off of NASA Parkway in Seabrook, Texas, Bailey’s is the third restaurant in a line of successful Bailey Family dining establishments that include Sudie’s Seafood House in League City and Sudie’s Catfish House Pasadena.
